How much unclaimed money is being held by the Bank of Canada ?

At the end of December 2015, approximately 1.7 million unclaimed balances, worth $626 million, were on the Bank's books.

Over 93 percent of unclaimed balances were under $1,000, representing 27 per cent of the total value outstanding.  In 2015, the Bank paid out $10 million to balance holders.  The oldest balance dates back to 1900.

Feeling  $626 Million Lucky Canada?

Christmas was a wonderful time and a blast.  Now it’s time to pay the Piper. Even if that Piper looks strangely elfish with a gotcha grin.  Blow the debt doldrums away. Play the Dormante Bank Account Hide & Seek game.  For fun and profit!

Forget about lottery tickets. Unless your into being reminded you're a "Loser".  In both of Canada's official languages.  Forget the Bank of Canada bureaucrats, ( "Have I made my 85 factor yet?"), don't waste your time spin. Let's do our own math.  Something we excel doing at LaRoche Leasing.ca, is math which makes sense.

7% of Outstanding Balances represent approximately $457 million

If 93% represents 27% of outstanding money. Then 7% of outstanding balances, represents approximately 73% or $457,000,000.00. That's $457 million!!  Money waiting to be claimed by its rightful heirs. Left behind, by an inspiring Canadian work ethic, "A penny saved. Is a penny earned".  Canadians who felt privileged, to leave a tangible demonstration of their character and economic times. For the benefit of their descendants to inherit.
